■Walkthrough:
This quest branches from very beginning.
A. In case you didn’t beat baron’s men at previous main quest『The Nilfgaard ConnectionThe Nilfgaard Connection』, go to phase 1.
B. In case you defeat baron’s men at previous main quest『The Nilfgaard Connection』, go to phase 4.
1. Go to the Baron’s Castle.
↓Location Baron’s Castle.
→Automatically go to phase 2. crossing a bridge of Baron’s castle.
2. Find the baron.
↓Go to the middle gate and talk to guard. Then go to following choice.
Choice
– I did. Led me here.・・・event starts and go to phase 3.
– Got lost. Sorry. Bye.・・・suspend the quest.
3. Follow the sergeant.
↓Follow the sergeant till event starts. Automatically go to following choice 1.
Choice 1.
– It’s just that – blabber.・・・go to choice 2.
– Didn’t come here to chat.・・・go to choice 2.
Choice 2.
– Glad to have a drink.・・・go to choice 3.
– No thanks.・・・go to choice 3.
Choice 3.
– It’s awful.・・・go to choice 4.
– Lovely place.・・・go to choice 4.
– Get to the point.・・・go to choice 4.

– Can you get ti the point.・・・quest completed.

4. Go to the Baron’s Castle.
↓Location Baron’s Castle.
→Automatically go to phase 5. crossing a bridge of Baron’s castle.
5. Find the baron.
↓Go to the middle gate and battle automatically starts. They remember what you did at previous quest.
↓You may encounter enemy with shield. Following is video how to defeat the enemy by using counterattack. Axii spell is also easy to defeat the enemy with shield.
→After beating barons henchman, go to castle’s entrance and event will start. Go to phase 6.
6. Search the village to find another way into the castle.
↓ Talk to the old man at following location and go to choice 1.

– Know the area well?・・・go to choice 2.
– Farewell.・・・suspend the quest.
Choice 2.
– (15)All right, I’ll pay.・・・go to phase 7.
– Not about to let you cheat me.・・・just conversation

7. Explore the area where the boy’s body was found.
↓The location where the boy’s body was found. Find the place and go to phase 8.
8. Find the cave that leads under Crow’s Perch.
↓Location of the cave. Find the place and go to phase 9.
9. Dive underwater to enter the cave.
→Dive underwater and enter the cave. Go to phase 10.
10. Explore the cave and find a way into the castle.
↓First equip a torch to make bright around Geralt.
↓You’ll encounter Water Hag. Following is how to defeat it in easier way using Axii spell. Be careful it throw mud ball, dodge frequently to avoid mud ball.
→There are many treasures in the cave, be sure to use Witcher Sense so you can easily find them.
↓ There are two treasure boxes under water. one is “Diagram:Temerian Poniard”,“Torn-out page:Reliever’s Decoction”,etc and another is “Diagram:Blunt crossbow bolt”,”Tor-out page:Forktail decoction”, etc.

11. Climb up through old well to enter the castle.
