■Walkthrough：
1. Go to the Inn at the Crossroads.
↓Location of the Inn.
→ Ask the bartender about the agent called Hendrik.
→ Communicate with the bartender and go to following choice.
※The differences between beating baron’s men or not through following choices are that you’ll meet bloody baron directly or not at next main quest 『Bloody Baron』. In case of beating baron’s men, you have to sneak into baron’s castle from secret way. I’d choose beating baron’s men and sneak into the castle so that I can enjoy the adventure.
Choice 1.
– Haven’t finished my drink.・・・event starts and go to choice 2.
– Expecting visitors?・・・event starts and go to choice 2.
Choice 2.(time limit decision)
– Back of or die. ・・・start battling with Bandits. Go to phase 2.
– I’m a witcher.・・・event starts. Go to phase 3.
– Care for a drink?・・・go to choice 3.
Choice 3.(time limit decision)
– Not your concern.・・・start battling with Bandits. Go to phase 2.
– Heading to Novigrad.・・・event starts and go to choice 4.
Choice 4.(time limit decision)
– Who are you?・・・go to choice 5.
– Cheers.・・・go to phase 3.
Choice 5.(time limit decision)
– Like to know who I’m drinking with.・・・go to choice 6.
– Wonder what you’re doing here.・・・start battling with Bandits. Go to phase 2.
Choice 6.(time limit decision)
– Cheers, then.・・・go to phase 3.
– Who’s this baron?・・・just conversation.
2. Defeat the baron’s men.
→Fight with total 3 bandits inside Inn.
→Event automatically starts after fighting. Go to following choice.
Choice
– What do you know about Hendrik.・・・go to phase 4.
– Bye.・・・go to phase 4.
※ After defeating enemy soldiers, you can talk with the bartender normally. If you are interested in gwent, buy 5 gwent cards from Innkeeper.
3. Finish talking to the innkeep about the agent called Hendrik.
→Talk to innkeep. Event starts and go to following choice.
Choice
– What do you know about Hendrik.・・・go to phase 4.
– Bye.・・・go to phase 4.
4. Look for the agent called Hendrik in village of Heatherton.
↓Go to the Heatherton village.
→Automatically go to phase 5. after arriving the Heatherton village.
5. Talk to the survivor and learn what happened in the village
→Help the villagers been attacked by 3 rabid dogs.
→Event starts after defeating rabid dogs. Go to following choice.
Choice
– Tell me what happened.・・・event starts and go to phase 6.
– Farewell.・・・suspend the quest.
6. Find the agent called Hendrik.
↓Go to the house marked by quest marker.
→Examine Hendrick’s corpse in the house and go to following choice.
Choice
– Should search his trousers.・・・just information.
– Might be something in his jerkin.・・・just information.
– He hide something in his boots?・・・you can find hidden key inside boots. Go to phase 7.
7. Search the agent’s hut using your Witcher Senses.
↓Discover the door of the basement
↓Check the candles on the wall in the basement.
→Read the books in the treasure chest and go to following choice.
→you’ll automatically receive main quest 『Hunting a Witch』reading these books.
Choice
– Think that’s all.・・・quest completed.
(This choice appears only after checking all of following four choices.)
– “Missing and Wanted”・・・just information.
– “Drunken Swine”・・・just information.
– “Clashed with a Witch”・・・just information.
– “Caution Advised”・・・just information.
